About the Organization
The Beverly Breast Cancer Walk (BBCW) is a 3-mile walk held annually on Mother’s Day through the historic Beverly neighborhood. The walk benefits the Cancer Center, the Comprehensive Breast Health Center and the Mammography Department at Little Company of Mary Hospital allowing LCMH to provide state-of-the-art treatment and services to breast cancer patients and their families. The walk began in the year 2000 with founders: Carol Moriarty, who is a breast cancer survivor, her sister Nancy Mulcahy, and friend Lisa O’Brien. Over the past 15 years, the BBCW raised over $4,000,000 toward the fight against breast cancer!
The outpouring of support for the walk has been overwhelming. It has quickly become a local phenomenon and is a clear testament to the power of perseverance, teamwork, and the belief in one's cause - all due to the tireless volunteer efforts of several determined women, each touched in one way or another by the harrowing effects of breast cancer.
The 16th Annual Beverly Breast Cancer Walk will be held on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2015. This year the walk will benefit the Little Company of Mary Comprehensive Breast Health Center.
Please join us as we walk for all those who are touched by breast cancer. Together we can make a difference!
